VITRUVIT toilet seats: replacements for distinctive shapes and classic collections

VITRUVIT has made ceramics in Civita Castellana since 1956. Circles, triangular outlines, sculpted classical shapes and specific fixings make the seat part of each toilet’s design. Identify the collection and distinguish dedicated, compatible, adaptable and “like the original” replacements.

Wind, Moby and Olympic: distinctive geometry

Wind develops a circular top into a slightly inclined cylindrical body. Moby has an almost triangular upper outline and changes in side depth. Olympic combines a curved side with a straight side and requires a large seat. These need model-specific selection rather than a universal oval. Wind and Moby have dedicated coated-wood options; Olympic is classified “like the original”, which does not mean a manufacturer-branded original.

Old Time/Sovereign, Albano and Victoria: classic styling and materials

Old Time/Sovereign combines two differently sized circular portions, the larger at the rear. Dedicated options include Champagne and Noce solid wood. Albano has classical styling, coated-wood and compatible lacquered-MDF options, plus Nero, Grigio Sussurrato and Noce finishes. Noce exists in coated wood and solid wood: finish and construction are different characteristics. Victoria also offers dedicated coated wood and a Noce version specified as solid wood. Not every model has every finish. Photos and screens cannot guarantee a ceramic colour match.

Alba, Dorian and Young: fixings and replacement categories

Alba is D-shaped; documentation describes a wide fixing spacing of approximately 19–21 cm. The listed replacement concerns wall-hung Alba. Shape alone does not establish suitability for a universal seat. Dorian has a Duroplast replacement classified “like the original”. Young narrows slightly towards the wall and offers “like the original” Duroplast seats with standard and Soft Close mechanisms. Confirm damping on the particular product.

Calypso, Lady and Lady 1: check each version

Calypso includes coated wood and budget options, including Soft Close. The Lady section also includes Lady 1; sharing a section does not establish interchangeability. Lady has standard and soft-closing budget versions, while Lady 1 is separately named on its product. Alessandra, Gironda and Roma have budget offers; Alessandra also has an adaptable option. Check material and category rather than treating budget, dedicated and adaptable as synonyms.

Gronda and other coated-wood replacements

Gronda offers dedicated coated wood, compatible white and Champagne lacquered MDF and a budget adaptable product. These are different constructions and categories. Cubic, Escape, Pitti and Shape have dedicated coated-wood replacements, each intended for its own collection. Gronda and Gironda are distinct names: identify the exact model.

Finding the correct VITRUVIT seat

Open the collection tile if you know the model, then compare material, finish, hinges, category and availability on the purchase page. A catalogue entry does not guarantee that every version can be ordered. Otherwise use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service. Specialists can verify the toilet. Some matching dimensions or a similar photograph do not establish compatibility.
