Keramag toilet seats: replacements for COURREGE S, KOBLENZ, PLUS 4 and RENOVA
Keramag is a historic sanitaryware brand that later became part of Geberit’s brand transition. Geberit acquired the Sanitec group in 2015, and the Keramag transition to the Geberit brand began in 2019. Toilets installed under the Keramag name still require replacements identified by their exact range: the manufacturer name alone is not enough to select a seat.
The replacement catalogue covered here contains nine variants across four ranges: COURREGE S, KOBLENZ, PLUS 4 and RENOVA, including RENOVA NR 1. The selection combines purpose-made Duroplast and polyester resin-coated wood seats with economical compatible alternatives, some with Soft Close hinges.
COURREGE S: purpose-made coated wood
For COURREGE S, the listed replacement is a white Top Quality, purpose-made seat with a processed wood core coated in polyester resin and chrome-plated brass hinges. This construction differs from thermosetting resin seats and the economical urea-formaldehyde versions listed for other ranges. No Soft Close version is specified.
KOBLENZ: purpose-made Duroplast and a compatible option
The KOBLENZ selection includes two purpose-made Plus Quality Urea-Duroplast seats: one with standard stainless steel hinges and one with Soft Close hinges. An economical compatible Smile seat is also listed, made from urea formaldehyde with stainless steel Soft Close hinges.
These three options differ in replacement type, material and closing mechanism. Soft Close is stated only for the two variants that specify it; metal hinges alone do not indicate a slow-closing mechanism.
PLUS 4: compatible Smile replacement
For PLUS 4, the catalogue lists one economical compatible Smile seat, white, made from urea formaldehyde with stainless steel hinges. Its technical classification is compatible, so it is not an original Keramag seat. No Soft Close version is shown in this selection.
RENOVA and RENOVA NR 1: check the exact variant
The RENOVA section contains four seats. The purpose-made Top Quality option has a processed wood core coated in polyester resin and chrome-plated brass hinges. The other three are economical Smile variants made from urea formaldehyde with stainless steel hinges: one is specifically for RENOVA NR 1, one is standard for RENOVA, and one has Soft Close hinges.
For the two Smile variants associated with RENOVA, the commercial title uses the word “dedicated”, while the technical “Type” field classifies them as compatible. The technical classification clarifies the replacement type. Also check that the toilet is RENOVA rather than RENOVA NR 1.
Materials and closing mechanisms
The Keramag range differs in more than price. COURREGE S and RENOVA have a purpose-made Top Quality seat in polyester resin-coated wood with chrome-plated brass hinges; KOBLENZ has purpose-made Duroplast seats; PLUS 4 and several KOBLENZ and RENOVA options are compatible Smile seats in urea formaldehyde. Soft Close is listed for some KOBLENZ and RENOVA variants, not across every range.
The listed variants are white. If your toilet is coloured, check separately whether a replacement is available in the correct shade. Similar materials or shapes do not prove that two seats are interchangeable.
Finding the correct Keramag toilet seat
If you know the range for certain, open its tile to compare variants and visit the product page. Pay particular attention to the distinction between RENOVA and RENOVA NR 1, as well as the replacement type, material and hinges.
If you do not know the toilet model, use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service. Specialists can help identify the range and the right replacement. Do not choose from the Keramag name alone, visual similarity or a few measurements.
Frequently asked questions
Do Keramag and Geberit refer to the same toilet seat?
Keramag became part of Geberit and the brand was later consolidated. To replace a seat on a Keramag toilet, you still need to identify its specific range, such as KOBLENZ or RENOVA.
Do RENOVA and RENOVA NR 1 use the same replacement?
The catalogue lists separate replacements, including one compatible variant explicitly for RENOVA NR 1. Check the exact model before ordering.
Are all KOBLENZ and RENOVA seats purpose-made?
No. Both ranges include compatible alternatives as well as purpose-made seats. For RENOVA, the commercial title of some Smile options differs from the technical classification, which identifies them as compatible.
