GEBERIT toilet seats: replacements for ceramic series, AquaClean and Bambini
The GEBERIT range includes design toilet seats, replacements for collections previously sold as Pozzi-Ginori and components for AquaClean shower toilets. The brand name alone is insufficient: establish the series, generation and replacement type.
From Pozzi-Ginori to GEBERIT: names and redesigns
The 2015 Sanitec acquisition brought ceramic brands including Pozzi-Ginori and Keramag into GEBERIT. Subsequent brand consolidation retained some collection names and changed others, explaining why older toilets may be associated with different names.
Fast continued as the rounded iCon, while the more angular Metrica became iCon Square. Keep these two iCon series separate. GEBERIT Colibrì continues Colibrì 2; do not assume the first Pozzi-Ginori Colibrì uses the same seat. Likewise, modern Fantasia, previously Fantasia 2, has a rectangular design distinct from the historic oval Fantasia.
Acanto, Citterio and Xeno²: following the ceramic design
On floor-standing Acanto, a change in depth interrupts the toilet body's profile. White original Duroplast replacements are listed with standard hinges or Soft Close: choose the specific mechanism.
Citterio, associated with designer Antonio Citterio, combines rounded volumes with a raised rear surface. Xeno² has rectangular geometry and a rear step echoed in the seat. Original Duroplast Soft Close replacements are catalogued for both; the outline and support points require the seat specified for the model.
The selection also includes ONE and Smyle, with original Duroplast Soft Close options; Abalona Square, with an original Duroplast seat; and Egg, whose original soft-closing seat remains identified as Pozzi-Ginori in its product details. Read names together with the specifications rather than assuming brand-wide compatibility.
Renova and Selnova: check the variant name
For Renova Comfort and the Selnova family, the main name is not enough. Selnova includes Comfort, Compact, Premium and Square options with specifications and closing mechanisms to check separately. The listed Compact and Premium versions state Soft Close; the Comfort replacement uses Duroplast with standard hinges. Similar names do not establish interchangeability.
AquaClean: lids, seat rings and complete devices
The AquaClean section brings together products for Mera, Tuma, Sela, 4000, 5000/5000plus and 8000/8000plus. Check what each item actually contains: a lid alone, a seat ring alone, a seat-and-lid set and a complete device are different supplies.
Mera, for example, distinguishes the Classic seat ring from the heated Comfort seat ring, while Mera and Tuma lids have different part numbers. Sela has more than one seat-and-lid reference, requiring verification against the particular version. The model and part number must match the installed device; a white finish or visual resemblance is insufficient.
Bambini and choosing the correct replacement
Bambini groups seats for children's toilets, including 573334000 and 502.969.01.1 EasyMount. Treat these as distinct items: neither a shared family name nor small dimensions makes their mounting universal.
For conventional seats, original and dedicated are different classifications. iCon also has a dedicated Replay Duroplast seat with stainless steel hinges, separate from the original Soft Close option. Hinge material alone does not prove soft closing. Check the package contents, fixings and availability on the purchase page.
If the model is known, open its model card. If the series or generation is uncertain, use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service before ordering. Specialists can help locate the relevant replacement; apparent shape and partial measurements do not confirm compatibility.
Frequently asked questions about GEBERIT replacements
Can an older Pozzi-Ginori toilet have a replacement in the GEBERIT section? Yes. Several collections continued under the new brand, but the series and version must be confirmed.
Does an AquaClean replacement always include the complete electronic seat? No. A listing may be for an individual component or a complete device: check its description and part number.
Do all GEBERIT seats have Soft Close? No. Standard and soft-closing versions are distinct; the function must be stated for the selected item.
