DISEGNO CERAMICA toilet seats: replacements for distinctive modern and classic collections
DISEGNO CERAMICA began in 1993 in the Civita Castellana ceramics district. Its collections range from conical volumes and rectangular geometry to elongated curves and traditional styling. This variety makes the toilet seat part of each collection’s design: knowing the brand alone does not identify the replacement.
The range includes dedicated and “like the original” replacements in coated wood or Duroplast. Materials, hinges and closing mechanisms differ between models and sometimes between versions for the same toilet.
Catino and Neò: two distinctive approaches to shape
Catino evokes its namesake basin through conical surfaces and an unusual profile. Its seat is notably wide, approximately 40 cm. The listed white replacement is made from worked wood coated with polyester resin, with metal hinges and the “like the original”, Top Quality classification.
Neò combines a rectangular upper section with sharp corners and a classically inspired body with stepped details and reliefs. Its white “like the original” replacement uses polyester-resin-coated wood, metal hinges and the Top Quality classification. Sharing a broadly angular outline does not make these seats interchangeable with those of other collections.
Ovo and Weg: elongated curves and softer rectangles
Ovo has soft curves and an elongated, almost triangular upper outline. Weg takes a more rectangular direction, with softer transitions than Touch 2; the collection was offered in floor-standing and wall-hung versions.
Both have white “like the original” Duroplast thermosetting-resin replacements with stainless-steel hinges. A shared material does not mean identical shape or fixings: select the page for your own collection. The correct name of the model presented here is Weg.
Touch 1 and Touch 2/3: the number matters
Touch 1 belongs to the line’s first, oval interpretation. Its dedicated white urea-Duroplast replacement is classified Plus Quality. The range includes a standard-closing version with stainless-steel hinges and a Soft Close version with stainless-steel hinges.
Touch 2 instead uses rectangular geometry and pronounced corners, with changes in depth along the toilet body. The Touch 2/3 page presents the replacement specified for both Touch 2 and Touch 3: white Duroplast, stainless-steel hinges and “like the original” classification. This shared designation applies to that particular product and does not include Touch 1. Touch 1’s Soft Close option must not be assumed for Touch 2/3.
Paolina: traditional styling, white and Noce finish
Paolina expresses the brand’s traditional side, with moulded details at the foot and upper body, a rectangular base and an oval top. Its seat needs to follow that design and its proportions.
The dedicated replacements are made from worked wood coated with polyester resin, with metal hinges and Top Quality classification, in white and Noce finishes. Noce refers here to the finish of the specified coated-wood product. It must not be described as solid walnut: finish and construction are separate characteristics.
Light and Loom: different constructions deserve attention
Light has a dedicated white Top Quality replacement in polyester-resin-coated wood with chrome-plated brass hinges.
Loom has two dedicated white alternatives: coated wood with metal hinges, classified Top Quality, and a version titled “plastic resin” whose specifications identify thermosetting Duroplast with stainless-steel hinges. These are distinct products, so compare their individual specifications. Metal or chrome-finished hinges alone do not indicate soft closing.
Skip: wrap-over lid and a choice of closing mechanism
Skip has dedicated white Duroplast seats with a wrap-over lid, classified Replay. The standard-closing version specifies stainless-steel hinges; the Soft Close version specifies nylon/metal hinges with a damping mechanism.
The choice therefore concerns the hinge mechanism as well as the seat material. Soft Close must be confirmed on the individual product rather than assumed across the DISEGNO CERAMICA range.
Dedicated replacements, “like the original” and toilet identification
A dedicated replacement is made for a specific toilet model. “Like the original” is a separate commercial classification and does not mean an original product bearing the ceramics manufacturer’s brand. Top Quality, Plus Quality and Replay distinguish different offers, but do not replace checking the intended model, material and hinges.
If you know the collection with certainty, select its tile to compare variants and reach the purchase page. Check availability and delivery information on the product itself: a catalogue entry does not guarantee that every version can currently be ordered.
If the model is unknown, use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service. Specialist staff can check the toilet and the appropriate replacement. A similar outline or a few matching dimensions do not establish compatibility.
Frequently asked questions
Do Touch 1 and Touch 2/3 use the same seat? No. The catalogue distinguishes Touch 1 from the replacement specified jointly for Touch 2 and Touch 3. The name Touch alone is insufficient.
Is Paolina Noce solid walnut? The product described is worked wood coated with polyester resin in a Noce finish; it is not specified as solid wood.
Are all replacements original or soft-closing? No. Dedicated and “like the original” are distinct categories. Confirm Soft Close on the individual product.
Can I choose a universal seat from apparently matching measurements? These distinctive shapes need a model-specific check. Request identification before buying if you are unsure.
