DEVON&DEVON toilet seats: Carlyon, Etoile and Oxford replacements for classical toilets

DEVON&DEVON interprets bathroom design through classical, retro and British inspired styling. Its seats complete a composition of volumes, rims and decorative details. Replacing one means respecting the particular collection's design as well as its mounting requirements.

This page covers Carlyon, Etoile and Oxford. Dedicated polyester resin coated wooden seats characterise the selection, with solid wood also offered for Etoile. White, black, Champagne, Grigio Sussurrato and Noce are not offered indiscriminately for every range: check model, construction and finish together.

Etoile: the raised rim and the toilet's pedestal

Etoile clearly expresses the collection's English character. A raised rim outlines the rounded upper body, above a rectangular base that widens towards the floor. The seat must suit those proportions; a general resemblance to another classical toilet is insufficient.

A retro design language shared by manufacturers does not prove that their seats are interchangeable. Etoile needs a replacement expressly selected for this DEVON&DEVON range, with matching outline, supports and fittings.

Several white coated wooden options are listed, described with chrome plated brass hinges and Top Quality classification. Identical short titles can refer to distinct items: compare product code, specifications and availability.

Etoile Noce: solid wood and coated wood are different constructions

Etoile has both a dedicated solid wooden seat in Noce and a dedicated polyester resin coated wooden seat in Noce. Both specify metal hinges, but the seat construction differs.

Noce, meaning walnut, therefore does not identify the material by itself. The solid wood product expressly states solid wood; the coated version has a wooden core protected by resin. A finish name must not become a promise of a particular timber species or manufacturing technique.

Keep the Etoile reference when comparing lid profile, supports and fittings. Choose the material after identifying the toilet with certainty.

Etoile colours: white, black, Champagne and Grigio Sussurrato

Alongside white, dedicated Etoile seats are listed in black, Champagne and Grigio Sussurrato, using polyester resin coated wood. Black specifies chrome plated brass hinges; Champagne and Grigio Sussurrato specify metal hinges.

Read these details for each item. “Metal” is broader than “chrome plated brass” and does not establish identical fittings across all versions.

The ceramic colour cannot be identified with certainty from photographs or screens. Champagne and Grigio Sussurrato are different finishes; white also needs verification. An Etoile colour is not automatically offered for Carlyon or Oxford.

Carlyon: a dedicated white coated wooden seat

Carlyon has a dedicated polyester resin coated wooden replacement, white, with chrome plated brass hinges and Top Quality classification. Its application is specifically Carlyon.

Sharing material and finish with an Etoile product does not make it suitable for both ranges. Check the declared application, support arrangement and mounting details before ordering. A broadly classical or oval seat is not a compatibility check.

Oxford: the specific replacement and availability

Oxford has a dedicated white polyester resin coated wooden seat, with chrome plated brass hinges and Top Quality classification. Keep Oxford separate from Carlyon and Etoile even where short material and colour descriptions look similar.

A listing may remain visible when the item is unavailable. Check current status before buying: a model name in the catalogue does not mean immediate availability. The same applies to Carlyon and the different Etoile products.

Dedicated does not automatically mean original or Soft Close

The replacements described here are classified dedicated, made for a particular range. Do not turn that into “DEVON&DEVON original” unless expressly declared for the item. Belonging to one brand does not make the three ranges interchangeable.

Solid wood and coated wood are different constructions. Check hinge material separately from operation. Chrome plated brass or metal hinges do not mean slow closing: any Soft Close function must be explicitly stated for the product.

Finding the correct DEVON&DEVON seat

Know the toilet's brand and range with certainty before ordering. Then check dimensions, fixing centres, rear outline, supports and mounting. Similar retro styling or some matching measurements do not prove that two toilets use the same seat.

If you know the model, open the Carlyon, Etoile or Oxford tile and review the linked Sintesibagno.shop specifications and offers. Otherwise use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service and follow the instructions to send photographs and measurements to the specialist team.

Frequently asked questions about DEVON&DEVON seats

Will an English style toilet seat fit any DEVON&DEVON toilet?

No. Style does not establish compatibility. Choose a replacement selected for the identified range.

Is Etoile Noce always solid wood?

No. Both solid and coated wooden Noce versions are listed. Read the material in the individual specifications.

Are all these replacements DEVON&DEVON originals?

They are presented as dedicated. A product can be called original only if expressly identified as such.

Are chrome plated brass hinges always Soft Close?

No. That specifies material and finish; slow closing is a separate function requiring explicit confirmation in the product details.
