KERASAN toilet seats: replacements for historic collections, geometric shapes and designer sanitaryware
KERASAN, a manufacturer from the Civita Castellana ceramics district active since the 1960s, has worked across many bathroom styles. Its collections combine rectangles, narrow profiles, circular forms, sculpted traditional contours and modern back-to-wall toilets. The seat belongs to this diversity: it must follow the pan’s outline and suit its supporting surfaces and fixings.
Selected replacements exist for various historic series, including discontinued models. Choosing involves model, shape, material, hinges and finish: knowing the KERASAN brand alone is not enough.
Thema, Nora and Brio: three different geometries
Thema is rectangular with a raised, sloping rear surface. Its resemblance to Ideal Standard Conca can be misleading, but Thema has different proportions and fixing centres of approximately 20 cm. The replacement must also suit the sloping surface and hinge position.
Nora interprets the rectangle with softened corners and edges. Brio uses sharper lines and more pronounced geometry. These are not three variations of the same seat: each series needs a replacement selected for its own pan.
Ritmo and Bellini: from a narrow seat to a circular form
Ritmo stands out for its narrow seat, approximately 32 cm wide. An ordinary oval seat may fail to respect this distinctive proportion.
Bellini instead belongs to the circular category. Its seat is about 37.5 cm wide and uses expansion fixings. These dimensions illustrate the differences between collections; they do not replace identification of the pan or checking the replacement’s product information.
Retrò: traditional contours that need a precise match
Retrò expresses KERASAN’s traditional side through ceramic detailing and a seat outline that widens, narrows and opens out again, recalling a violin. A simple oval does not reproduce this design.
The catalogue includes a dedicated coated-wood seat and a “like the original” solid-wood option in a walnut finish. These are different constructions: solid wood must be distinguished from a wooden core coated in resin. Assess shape, material and finish on the individual product page.
Godia, Flo, Ego and Pelikan: modern-series seats
Godia uses a D-shaped outline and was offered in floor-standing and wall-hung versions. Replacements include a thermoset option with a wrap-over lid, which hides the seat ring when closed.
Flo / Flo’ represents the soft forms of back-to-wall sanitaryware. Its section groups both spellings used in product titles and allows comparison of “like the original”, dedicated and soft-closing options, depending on the article.
Ego develops rectangular geometry with rounded transitions. Pelikan, also called Pelican in editorial articles, has an elongated, elliptical profile and a distinctive front line. “Like the original” Duroplast options are listed for both. A generic rectangular outline does not make their seats equivalent.
Acquatech and the other KERASAN collections
Acquatech includes substantial floor-standing and wall-hung sanitaryware with seats approaching 47–48 cm in length. Search within its own section and check the stated application of the replacement.
The range also includes BICCHI, BIT, BYBLOS, DISABILI, ELCA, EUROPA, JOLLY, K09, KIR, LA FONTE, LUNA, MONTEGO, SIRIO, TAKE, VOLANT, YOLLY, YURA. Model pages distinguish replacements and materials even when names resemble each other: Jolly and Yolly have separate sections, as do the other collections. For accessible toilets in the Disabili section, establish the exact model and configuration.
Materials, historic colours and matt finishes
The catalogue includes polyester-resin-coated wood, thermoset/Duroplast, lacquered MDF and, for Retrò, solid wood. An original seat is the sanitaryware manufacturer’s product. “Like the original”, “dedicated”, “compatible” and “adaptable” identify different replacement categories: compare the classification and actual specifications of the article offered for your series.
Finishes reflect different periods. Alongside white, Champagne replacements are listed for collections including Brio, Europa, Luna, Montego, Nora, Ritmo and Yura; Grigio Sussurrato for Brio, Europa and Luna. Flo also has matt white and matt black Soft Close options. Slow closing is a feature of an individual replacement, not the entire range.
Check colour, gloss or matt surface and availability on the product page. Photographs and screens cannot certify a colour match with the installed sanitaryware.
Finding the correct KERASAN toilet seat
If you know the exact series and version, select its tile to explore replacements and purchase pages on Sintesibagno.shop. Check inner and outer contours, supports, fixing centres and installation method.
If the model is uncertain, use the Sintesibagno toilet seat identification service before buying. Follow the instructions for photographs and measurements. Resemblance to another toilet or a few matching dimensions does not establish compatibility.
Frequently asked questions about KERASAN seats
Will a Conca seat also fit Thema? Do not assume interchangeability from their resemblance. Thema has its own dimensions and fixing characteristics and requires a replacement verified for that series.
Will an ordinary traditional oval seat suit Retrò? Its sculpted outline needs a replacement that follows the profile. Consult Retrò options rather than choosing by style alone.
Are Flo and Flo’ in different sections? No. Products using both spellings are grouped in one section, where each article’s specifications can be checked.
Are coloured replacements available for older KERASAN toilets? Selected collections have colours such as Champagne and Grigio Sussurrato. Availability and finish depend on the article. Ask for assistance if the model or colour is uncertain.
